The 5th Annual Awards for Teaching in Photography!
The APHIE Awards for teaching practice in photography are an opportunity to sharie great pedagogic practice, introducing new and innovative approaches to teaching photography in Higher Education in the UK and recognising the hard work and contributions of all our members.
We are proud to continue the association with our American sister organisation, the Society for Photographic Education (SPE). Each year’s winner will be invited to present an expanded version of their Pecha Kucha at their annual conference.
The 2020 SPE conference will take place in Houston, Texas and will coincide with The Fotofest Biennial 2020! Funding support will be provided courtesy of APHE and SPE.
Short-listed entrants will prepare a 5 minute Pecha Kucha style presentation showcasing their innovative teaching practice for supportive and eager conference members. This is a critical and much anticipated session and has proved to be a catalyst for discussion and implementation of new ideas within courses across the nation and beyond.
If you would like to share your good practice, generate dialogue with others, and have the chance of traveling to the USA, please submit an outline of what you have done for the 5th Annual Aphies Award!
