At our summer conference we announced that unfortunately Judy Harrison’s term as our splendid Treasurer is coming to an end. We are therefore looking for someone to fill her boots (a difficult task I’m afraid), we do believe this is a great opportunity to join the (relatively new) executive. As such we are looking to recieve nominations for strong candidates who will be able to dedicate time to help us deliver on our mission to develop and importantly strengthen the Association’s core membership network.
The successful nominee will commence the role from 1st January but Judy will continue with some existing duties until 1st July and during this transitional period she will be able to offer guidance and support. The role is for a 3 year period (so will end 30th June 2018). All nominators and nominees must be a member of APHE (the role is open to either institutional or individual members)

“I’m into my fourth year of being on the executive of APHE. My position as Treasurer, is being responsible for the incoming and outgoing money within the APHE account. This includes things like membership, conferences, bursaries, end of year accounts etc. All this entails working closely with the other three members of the executive, who all have different roles. However often our roles overlap and we work together closely as a team. Because the position of treasurer is elected a year later than the rest of the executive, it has meant that I’ve worked together with 2 executives and been part of helping to put on four annual conferences. A great experience!
Being treasurer isn’t just about dealing with the money. It’s also being part of the executive, in determining the vision for APHE and how it can grow and continue to progress as a valuable and useful organisation. All this includes being part of lively and interesting discussions with a group of like minded people.
It’s been hard work but I’m really glad I’ve done it and now know so many educators of photography all across the country.”
We would like to thank Judy for all her hard work and dedication to the position and wish her the best of luck!
